Mountain Whitefish ice fishing in Canada
Mountain whitefish feed near the bottom in cold water; small jigs tipped with a maggot or bit of worm do the job.
This is general guidance for the species, not advice for any one lake. Check the regulations for the lake you fish: limits, size rules and closures vary by lake.

419 lakes on this site have mountain whitefish on record. A lake without a record may still hold them: records come from hand-researched lists, British Columbia fish observations and Ontario stocking data, and are not complete. The largest lakes in each province are listed first.
